Michael Crabtree questioned by SFPD for sexual assault

San Francisco police have questioned Michael Crabtree after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel in the city. He hasnt been detained or charged and has agreed to cooperate with investigators. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, he is expected to play in Atlanta this weekend.

Obviously, the potential loss of Crabtree would be a tremendous blow to the quest for a sixth ring, and these are very serious accusations. This is also a huge blow to the fan's opinion of the King Crab, considering his transition this season from draft bust to number one receiver.

This is obviously not the first time a first class athlete has been accused of sexual assault; (Pablo Sandoval, DeAnthony Hall, Tony Ayala) and it has had varying effects on their careers. There isnt a whole lot to say at this point, but we can only hope that there was some misunderstanding or something of that nature.
