As 49er fans which team should we be rooting for this weekend?

I'm rooting for the two teams I think can beat us. Why? Because I believe Seattle can beat Atlanta who just isn't physical enough and who I think can be made one dimensional. That would put the 49ers and our young QB in the best possible position, 2 games at home. Obviously we would have to find a way to beat greenbay. But we have beaten them before and in their house, so beating them again can't be so difficult for the 49ers to believe they can accomplish.

And then it is possible that the overwhelming emotion that will be in candlestick park can lift a 49ers team that has had problems all year being consistent to victory in a game they shouldnt normally win. And once a team feels it has become apart of something bigger than themselves it can carry them to great things.

This is unfortunately what I see missing in this team. This isn't quite CK's team yet, or at least not his season. We seem to be lacking in the sheer intensity we had last year. I hold out hope that I'm wrong and that greater purpose finds this team in the playoffs.

I would gladly eat all the crow in the world than be right about this teams post season fortunes. But the building blocks of this season just don't quite seem to fit. No matter how they are stacked they seem to come up short to reaching our lofty SB goal.

Im looking for something to be the catalyst or spark that awakens the sleeping monster that is this 49er team. I just don't know what it is, I don't think it is the bye. Maybe the return of smith like sir Lancelot in the movie Excalibur, or maybe a hit by goldson that changes the tone of a game, or is it the return of Alex when all seems lost.

But what eats at me is the feeling this team lacks the magic that last years team seemed possessed with. This year we feel so ordinary.
