The 49ers and Falcons head into the second quarter with Atlanta leading . The first quarter was all about Julio Jones, who put together a performance you might expect in a full game. Jones hauled in five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. I think it's safe to say the 49ers will need to figure out a way to quiet him down the rest of the way. The 49ers defense is struggling mightily against Jones and Roddy White, who are having their way with the secondary.

The 49ers offense has not been able to get anything going, with a Frank Gore six yard run sitting as the highlight of the first quarter. When a five-yard run is your highlight, I think that just about says it all. Mike Nolan has a good game-plan in place right now, so the 49ers offense needs to figure something out.

The Falcons are driving heading into the second quarter. This defense needs to step up ASAP.
