49ers Cut BJ Daniels - WTF?

CSN Bay Area reports the 49ers have parted ways with rookie B.J. Daniels. This is a bit of a shocker considering how well he performed during the preseason and regularly outperformed current backup Colt McMcoy. Who knows why they cut him, but if some other QB-desperate team like Tampa picks him up and he plays like a stud, I will be TICKED.

Why? Because I see a trend of wasted draft picks emerging. Last year, we could have drafted studs like T.Y. Hilton, Doug Martin or Coby Fleener but instead we shot our wad on duds like AJJ, Trent Robinson, Jason Slowey, and Cam Johnson, none of whom are even with the team anymore. And the jury is still out on LMJ, Darius Fleming and Joe Looney. Anyways, it would be nice if we stopped drafting guys just to cut them and got back to drafting guys that will play. Remember the 2011 draft class? Something like that.

Rant over.
