A Formal Goodbye to B.J Daniels

Dear B.J Daniels-

We would now like to officially say goodbye to you. There was hope all around Niners Nation that we could stash you on the PS squad, but alas, the Seahawks couldn't let you go.

We here at NN will fondly remember everything you did as a player for the San Francisco 49ers. From the moment you were drafted to the moment you were sadly waived by the 49ers. Your preseason will be the most memorable of your short career as a 49er, as you went 13/21 and had 178 yards and 3 touchdowns. Not to mention your 87 yards rushing and your 128.57 Quarterback Rating.

When you led that touchdown drive in the 4th quarter, we at Niners Nation were absolutely crazy about you, proclaiming we had found, "The Future". You had backed that up with another two great games, and then you were officially the preseason "Future".

You had survived the fearful cuts in August, and were the 3rd string quarterback. We at Niners Nation were ready for you to become better and stronger next year, and eventually become the backup to Colin Kaepernick, and maybe get us a draft pick.

But alas, your time in San Francisco had ended, thanks to a man named John Skelton. You had become a free agent, and some were very upset at letting you go (me included). Then, before you could clear waivers and come back to the 49ers on the practice squad, the 49ers' bitter rival, the Seattle Seahawks, claimed you.

We will eventually get over you. Because like Nate Davis, Thomas Clayton, and the legendary Kory Sheets, "The Future" must sadly leave our team.

Farewell B.J Daniels, you will be remembered.
