Week 7 AM open thread features Rams, Bears, Lions

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

We break down some of the early Week 7 NFL games, and open up a thread for discussion. New to Niners Nation? Sign up here and join the discussion!

The 49ers kick off at 1:05 p.m. PT, but in the meantime, we've got a few games of note in the morning. There will be no Chefs Watch thread today however, as the Chiefs face the Texans at 1:25 p.m. PT. You can discuss that game in here, but I imagine most of you will be a little more focused on the 49ers and Titans.

The AM does provide some interesting games for 49ers fans. Three different teams of particular note will be playing. In the NFC West, the Rams travel to face the Panthers. The Rams are in third place, a half game ahead of the Arizona Cardinals, and coming off a thumping of the Houston Texans. They hit a rut earlier this season, losing three straight, but they now find themselves in the thick of the early wild card race.

The NFC North features a pair of good games with the Detroit Lions hosting the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears traveling to Washington. The Lions and Bears are both 4-2, and looking like they will be in the wild card race. That Lions-Bengals game in particular should be a fun one.
