The San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans released their Thursday practice participation reports, and it does a little to clear up the injury situation. For the 49ers, Anthony Davis was a limited participant, a day after he sat out practice. Davis was listed as questionable last week after being limited all week in practice. More than likely we are looking at a similar designation, but I imagine Davis will play.
Patrick Willis was limited once again, and is also looking at a potential questionable designation. According to the media on hand, Willis did some rehab work on the sideline before joining the practice in a limited capacity. There was optimism on Wednesday that Willis would play Sunday, but this looks like it could very well be a game-time decision.
The big news for the Texans is Brian Cushing practicing in a limited capacity. He suffered a concussion last week against the Seahawks, and sat out practice on Wednesday. The general belief early in the week was that Cushing would play on Sunday. He still has to go through the concussion protocol, but another limited day on Friday would bode well for him.
