What should we expect when Mario Manningham comes off the PUP list?

The 49ers will be activating Mario Manningham in the coming days. What can we expect in his return?

Sometime between now and next Tuesday, the San Francisco 49ers will activate wide receiver Mario Manningham. His 21-day practice period will end on Tuesday, which means the team has to get him on the 53-man roster.

We don't know the exact game-plan for Manningham going forward, but it seems like it would be a safe bet to assume Manningham will be active in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers. The 49ers have won five straight thanks to a strong running game and big plays by Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin. However, the passing game could use more oomph. Michael Crabtree is the guy who can bring serious oomph, but Mario Manningham is talented enough to make an impact.

The question for next week is what kind of impact should we expect? In 2012, his best performance was five receptions (on ten targets) for 72 yards. He was not a guy to blow the top off of things, but considering what we've seen from the 49ers wide receivers behind Anquan Boldin, anything would be an improvement.

With that in mind, any early predictions on what to expect from Manningham in Week 10 against Carolina, and even the rest of the season? For Week 10, I'll go with something along the lines of three receptions for 45 yards. I very well could be over-estimating things in his first game back from his ACL injury, but I'll throw that out there.
