I am going to post my first rantpost. As most of you know who read any of my posts, most of them are positive to the point of extreme homerism. So knowing where my viewpoint is, take this post with as many grains of salt as you wish.
First, we lost. Yes, we lost to a team we probably should have beat. But give the Panthers credit for playing a heck of a D. They beat us at our own game. They WON and deserved the win. If any Panthers fans read this, I give full credit for your team winning. No excuses.
For the rest of you who think we're done for the year, that Kap is a bust, that we couldn't win our way out of a wet paper bag, let me ask you this. What is the reasoning for your negativity? Some of you are honestly concerned. (I am too, but I have faith. That's the homer in me.) Some are trolls that are looking to spread havoc throughout Niners Nation. Some of you are still bitter about Alex Smith. (For those people, GET OVER IT. There is a line between rooting for Alex Smith and rooting against the 49ers. Some of you have crossed it.) Most of the rest is because it's the feeling of the week.
We are still a tough team. The season isn't over yet. Do not forget that. We've survived worse adversity than this. And I am thankful the 49ers have much more faith in themselves than some of you have.
Stand up and brush yourselves off. We are 49er fans. We are not a rowdy bunch of has-been's that have to hate on other fans. We have class, we respect our opponent, and we lose with dignity and grace. It is damn time we started acting like 49er fans.
