Ray Lewis offers to pay half of any Ahmad Brooks fine

Ray Lewis had some thoughts on Ahmad Brooks' personal foul.

Ahmad Brooks was penalized for a personal foul on Sunday that many of us found a bit questionable. I'm not surprised the call was made, but it does not make the rule any less of a pain in the butt. Jim Harbaugh and Ahmad Brooks disagreed with the call, and current and former players are questioning it s well.

Ray Lewis joined ESPN this season after retiring from the NFL. He is a member of Monday Night Countdown and has the occasional out there thought. The Super Bowl conspiracy theories are nutty enough, but his latest comment will get some support from 49ers fans. On the Week 12 edition of Monday Night Countdown, Ray Lewis went off on the league for this penalty, and offered to pay half of any fine Ahmad Brooks might face. Lewis even pulled out a credit card to show how serious he was.

We'll find out in the next couple of days whether a fine is in the offing. A fine would seem ridiculous, but it would not surprise me to see the league swing its weight around.

In case you missed it earlier, here's a GIF of the hit:
