Week 12 PM game thread

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

We take a look at the afternoon slate of games in Week 12, and open a thread for discussion.

The morning slate of Week 12 action is wrapping up, but the Bears, Panthers and Lions have all struggled today. Losses for all three would give the 49ers a little bit of breathing room in the wildcard race, assuming San Francisco can start winning some games. The Rams impressed in taking care of business at home, and they continue to hang around with their win.

There are only three games this afternoon, but there are some interesting matchups. The most important for our purposes has the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Indianapolis Colts. The Cardinals are tied with the 49ers. The Cardinals are winning games, but a win over Indianapolis would give them a chance to make a significant statement.

The Giants-Cowboys game is an interesting one in the NFC East. The Cowboys are 5-5 and a half game back of Philadelphia, while the Giants are 4-6 and arguably the hottest team in the division. We'll see who comes out of this one with the win.

We'll be back with a Sunday Night Football thread in a few hours. In the meantime, enjoy the three PM games.
