I started out in Los Angeles, fat and happy knowing all the great 49er sports bars. Then my husbands' company started pressuring him to move to Florida. Been there, done that. Love LA, never want to leave. But I had quit my computer job to write the great American mystery novel, so my protests were meaningless. Here I am sandwiched between West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, missing LA, hating the humidity, lost and alone! Boo-hoo.
With all the transplants living here there has GOT to be a few 49er fans somewhere. While there are many sports bars that play all the games, watching football as the lone fan is like going to the prom alone. The people at Carolina's Ale House in Boynton Beach are great, food is good, lots of beer variety and they know me by now so when I come in they immediately check that 'my' stool has the Niner game playing.
I do enjoy wearing all the 49er gear out to watch the Niners beat the Dolphins. Got a few dirty looks as I was dancing, pole vaulting and turning flips in the bar each touchdown. Please, 49er fans, if you are out there in Floridaland, let me know. It gets lonely here!!
