NFL playoff schedule 2014: 49ers vs. Packers game time set for Sunday afternoon

USA TODAY Sports

The 49ers-Packers game time is set. The two teams will meet Sunday afternoon at a cold Lambeau Field. We've got all the details.

It's now official. The NFL announced playoff game dates and times during halftime of Sunday Night Football. The San Francisco 49ers will travel to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, January 5 at 1:40 p.m. PT on FOX. This is the second straight year the two teams will meet in the postseason. They met in the divisional round last season, and Colin Kaepernick had a postseason coming out party that evening.

It will be a chilly afternoon in Green Bay, with the high expected to be around 18 degrees, with a potential for a few snow showers. It's going to be cold, but the 49ers have handled their business in the cold weather before (see Patriots game last year). It will be a difficult situation, but the 49ers have what it takes to win this game. The Packers are dangerous with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, but the 49ers defense will look to take care of business on national television.

The Saints and Eagles will square off Saturday at 5 p.m. PT. The divisional round will see the Seahawks host their game on Saturday, January 11 at 1:35 p.m. PT. The Panthers will host their game Sunday, January 12 at 10:05 a.m. PT.
