Tarvaris Jackson will be a free agent this year, and he should come cheap. The 49ers will need a 2nd string QB should Alex Smith move on. Jackson may not be a 'good' QB, but he could fit into an offense designed around Kaepernick quite nicely. Tarvaris doesn't have the football intelligence, or accuracy, or the arm of Kaepernick, he would be starting for the Vikings or the Bills if he did. That said, Tarvaris is a serious danger on the ground and can put some heat on the ball. Who knows maybe with the right coaching staff he could become a great fill-in for Kaepernick should Kaepernick become injured.
