So I'm starting to see more and more Mock Drafts so I decided, why not! Though I'm guessing Baalke may pull a trade or two, I'll keep it simple.
#31: Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi St.- Great size and speed (4.36 40). Was clocked in as the fastest CB at the combine. Slay might be a sleeper in this draft but because his combine workout was so impressive he may not be there @ 34, with Jags in need of secondary help. (6'0" 192)
#34: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee, Moss is gone, Manningham may not be back, Jenkins a huge ?mark so we need a playmaker outside. Hunter reminds me of AJ Green. His ACL injury may scare some teams but we can afford to take a chance of a great talent. (6'4" 196)
#61 Jonathan Hankins, NT, Ohio St.- Huge dude who can control the middle of the defense. Has experience playing NT, something Sopoaga had to learn. (6'4" 325)
#74 Brian Schwenke, C, Cal, Goodwin is approaching the end of his contract and age is a concern. Schwenke showed power and control of the line during the senior bowl. Can learn from Goodwin now and work to be a great starter in the future. (6'3" 314)
#93 David Quessenberry, OT, San Jose St, With Boone moving into RG we are left without a solid backup at the tackle position. Quessenberry has a solid frame and can grow to be a valuable backup. (6'5" 302)
#125 JJ Wilcox, FS, Georgia Southern, This is me assuming we resign Goldson. Wilcox showed he's not afraid to hit a ball carrier but also showed fluid movement at the combine. Can be good option as backup for Goldson and once Whitner is gone (next year) he can become starting FS, moving Goldson to SS. (6'0" 213)
So let's hear it. What does everyone think?
