The Case For Greg Roman's Departure

How many times have we questioned Greg Roman's play-calling this year? Who calls three straight pass plays on the opponents 5-yard line when you are a run-first team and desperately need a touchdown to win? Roman's poor play-calling didn't start yesterday.

Just think back to that regular season game against St. Louis game when he called a botched pitch play to Ted Ginn Jr. that ended up being fumbled and returned for a touchdown. Think back to the loss against Minnesota when the 49ers abandoned the run. Have you ever seen a team burn so many timeouts trying to get a play off?

As if that wasn't reason enough for Roman to be replaced as offensive coordinator, just look at the stats when it comes to penalties. They showed no improvement from 2011 to 2012, ranking in the top 10 for most penalized team.

Anyways, you're all smart fans, do you think Roman should be welcome back or should the 49ers show him the door?
