I saw a report that Carson Palmer's time in Oakland may be over. What if Oakland cut Palmer? That would put them in search of a QB. Knowing Oakland they would probably be targeting Geno.

What if- the 49ers made a phone call to Oakland and said "hey, our deal with the chiefs isn't official yet!" (Hoping this were to happen before 4pm march 12th)

I would say we propose Alex and this year's 31 for pick 3, 66, and next years round 2. I mean it is the Raiders, so anything is possible. There would be a couple options with pick 3 that we could do- use it or trade back and get a later one and another two. That would then give us a similar draft to what we are expecting now with the current trade in place. Only we would have a higher round one.

I know the odds of this happening are improbable, but with all the dead time the mind wanders.

So what say you? My money is on the Raiders taking Geno. They do like to trade for players though.
