San Francisco 49ers 2013 Schedule: 49ers 2013 schedule announced

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

The NFL released the 2013 NFL regular season schedule. The San Francisco 49ers open at home against the Green Bay Packers, play five primetime games, and play their final regular season game at Candlestick Park on December 23 against the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL offseason continues chugging along, bringing us to the next big benchmark. The NFL has released the 2013 NFL schedule, which means the 49ers schedule is here to absorb and dissect. There is plenty of detail to consider for how each game impacts the 49ers playoff chances, but one game is notable for other reasons. In Week , the 49ers close out their home schedule out Candlestick Park for the final team.

For the second straight season, the 49ers are opening against the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers are 11-2 when they open at Candlestick Park. Reports earlier this offseason had the Packers investing a ton of time in figuring out the read option, and how best to stop Colin Kaepernick. They now get the rest of the offseason to get ready for this in the first game of the season for both teams.

The 49ers have returned to their place as one of the premier franchises in the league, which means their 2013 schedule features plenty of matchups in choice times. Their primetime schedule includes games against the Seahawks (NBC), Rams (NFLN), Texans (NBC), Redskins (ESPN) and Falcons (ESPN).
