2013 NFL Draft: Best available players heading into day three

The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their second day of the 2013 NFL Draft with seven picks still remaining for the final four rounds. We take a look at some of the best available players across the board.

The San Francisco 49ers put in some solid work on Friday evening, as they added a defensive end, a tight end and an outside linebacker. We cannot effectively judge the success of a draft for several years, but the first glance has most people rather excited with the haul thus far.

The 49ers head into day three of the 2013 NFL Draft holding seven picks, including three comp picks. The team has made trades with all four of their day one and two picks, so odds are pretty high they'll do some more maneuvering. Nonetheless, there will be picks to be made. They have three comp picks to use, and I can't imagine they deal the remaining four picks entirely away.

As we wrap up Friday, I thought we'd take a quick look at some of the best available players. The 49ers do not have a pick until No. 31 of the fourth round, but they then have pick No. 34 as their first comp pick. Some of the best talent on the board will be gone by then, but given how this draft has gone, there will be some interesting talent late in the fourth.

Dan Kadar put together an update of his big board, looking at the best players left. There are some expected names, and some unexpected names. The big surprise is defensive tackle Jesse Williams, who many considered a first round pick. There is some twitter buzz that teams are really concerned about his knees. That would certainly explain his plummet.

The 49ers have addressed some of their biggest needs, which puts them in a position to go almost entirely best available the rest of the way. From Dan's big board, I thought I'd take a look at a few interesting positions that are not necessarily at the top of the 49ers "needs", but the 49ers could decide to get a little crazy.
