49ers draft results, day two: Video recap, look to day three

A video look back at day two, with a brief look ahead to day three.

Day two wrapped up last night, and the San Francisco 49ers added three more players to their 2013 NFL Draft class. I put together a video recap late last night, and started the look ahead to Saturday's final four rounds.

The 49ers filled positions of need the first two days, acting a very decisive manner with all of their picks. They have managed to trade every one of their picks so far, moving down once and moving up three times. Considering the 49ers entered the draft with 13 picks, it is not surprising to see them maneuvering so much.

The team's biggest moves during day two saw them add a pair of pass rushers in Tank Carradine and Corey Lemonier that both slipped due to a variety of concerns. The 49ers are in a position to take some risks. They need production, but as depth guys, Carradine and Lemonier can develop their craft and work their way into significant roles.

The 49ers head into day three without significant needs, but rather in a position to go best player available at numerous positions. In the video, I talk about a couple options at positions that are far down the needs chart, but could provide some great day three value. You can never have too many talented football players, and Trent Baalke has proven adept at dealing from a position of strength.
