This is a (imprecise) quote from the former German chancellor Konrad Adenauer. Why the hell he knew me before I was born. J
Two days ago I criticized the niners FO about the first round draft.
But after all, I must say, this was a really good draft. Anyway I don’t understand, why we didn’t pick a CB in the first three rounds. Instead we picked DE after DE. How many we need?
Yes, the CB position isn’t an urgent need this season. At least at first sight. Nnamdi could be our solution there, but after this season, he’ll get too expensive. Rogers is one of the most overpaid players in the league. Every time I read his name I’ve to think about the loss vs NY Giants. Damned, was he bad. Brown is a good CB, but I don’t expect his extension after this season. Besides Nnamdi I don’t see big plays. I’m a CB fetishist, because I think, this is one of the positions where you can kill your opponent with big plays. And your pass rush will not always be able to prevent any pass. Our secondary was one of the big issues in the postseason and in SB.
That’s the reason I wished, we picked Mathieu. We have the best coaching staff and leaders like Smith and Willis. They could handle him and push him into the right direction. He is a guy for bog plays.
OK, enough of crying.
Carradine, Lattimore and Patton were absolute steals. G R E A T D O N E !!!!
Lemonier is a good possibility for the future. McDonald is a very good replacement for Walker.
I’m still not sure, if it were necessary to trade up for Reid. If he were picked, Cyprien were still there.
And I’m not able to say, who is really better or fits better. But if he is Harbaugh’s guy, it should be.
So Master Baalke, well done. In Baalke I’ll be always in trust and sit down and shut up.
And please make a trade in CB area. J
