San Francisco have the players to make it back to the Super Bowl

The San Francisco 49er’s are preparing for an important season, and have the players to make it to the Super Bowl once more. Their squad has proven that it has the strength to beat anyone else in the NFL on its day, with great players in offense and defence.

The 49er’s will be one of the favourites with Unibet to achieve glory in the upcoming season, especially as they lost at the final hurdle to the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl in the most recent campaign. But who are San Francisco’s key players that can lead them to glory?

Aldon Smith’s name immediately springs to mind when thinking of San Francisco’s defence. The defensive end recorded 19.5 sacks last term, and has amassed a total of 33.5 in his first two seasons of his career – the most of any player in NFL history.

With team-mate Justin Smith entering the final years of his career, Aldon Smith will have to assume the mantle of the destructive force in the team. Despite this, the senior of the two still has a huge role to play.

At inside linebacker the 49er’s have a fantastic duo of Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman. The pair recorded 268 combined tackles last season and are quickly becoming figureheads for the miserly 49er’s defensive line.

Every successful American Football team needs a commanding and domineering quarterback, and luckily the 49er’s have one in the form of Colin Kaepernick. The main man at San Francisco has the slight of foot and the passing range to be one of the best in his position in the NFL. One feels that the 49er’s fans have yet to see the best out of a player with endless potential.

With strong draft picks adding to the already impressive squad, the 49er’s have the personnel to make it back to the Super Bowl in the upcoming season. Jim Harbaugh’s men have another season under their belt, and will look to go one step better next term.
