Golden Nuggets: Kassim Osgood added to boost special teams, Mangini notes, & more

When Lions players were asked if anyone wanted out, Kassim Osgood stepped up. - USA TODAY Sports

Wednesday, June 5, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

There was lots of news from the OTAs and the personnel front. Eric Mangini was introduced. Some players were signed and some others were cut. Actually a big day for this time of the year. Unfortunately, as you may notice from the time stamp, this is running way late, and I'm going to rush it as fast as I can to get it up as soon as possible.

Personnel News

There's one thing that was apparent from the 49ers' moves that occurred on Tuesday and that's that we are boosting our special teams. After last seasons failings, it would seem like a prudent idea.
