It's been five years since the Titans made the playoffs. Since that time, the team hasn't shown many signs of making its way back. Since 2008, the Titans have posted one winning record (9-7 in 2011), hired Jake Locker as their starting quarterback and sunk to the worst defense in the NFL in terms of points given up per game (29.7 last season).
During the offseason, the Titans drafted guard Chance Warmack, wide receiver Justin Hunter and several defensive picks (including Khalid Wooten, reppin' my alma mater, Nevada). They also claimed former 49ers tight end Delanie Walker and retained one of the brightest stars on the team, running back Chris Johnson.
The Niners will travel to Nashville to face the Titans in week seven.
