Week-by-week fan prediction poll: week 14 vs. Seahawks

The Seahawks are dangerous, this much is certain. But one criticism of the team last year was their road record. While the 'Hawks went 8-0 at the noisy CenturyLink Field, they were 4-6 on the road. Their road losses included teams like the Lions and Dolphins -- hardly powerhouses.

But the Seahawks, who are routinely predicted to tear up their 2013 schedule ("Seattle is about to go 19-0"), have added even more weaponry in the offseason. On offense, they picked up WR Percy Harvin and drafted RB Christine Michael. On D, they nabbed DE Cliff Avril, CB Antoine Winfield (three pro bowls) and several more.

Last year, the Niners lost in embarrassing fashion when they played the 'Hawks in Washington. They won 13-6 when they came to the bay.

As smathis pointed out in the last article I posted about the Seahawks, one reason the Niners probably did so poorly in Seattle last year was that awesome game against the Patriots in New England one week prior. This year, the Niners will face the Seahawks after playing the Rams at home -- yes, the Rams are worthy opponents, but it's not like playing the Pats in New England.

Here's a preview by WesHanson, and another by AnthonyLy.

And here are some stats from the Seahawks last year:

Offense:

Passing: 189.4 yds/game, 7.5 yds/att
Passing leader: Russell Wilson, 3,118 yds
Receiving leader: Sidney Rice, 748 yds
Rushing: 161.2 yds/game, 4.8 yds/att
Rushing leader: Marshawn Lynch, 1,590 yds

Defense:

Passing allowed: 203.1 yds/game, 5.8 yds/att
Rushing allowed: 103.1 yds/game, 4.5 yds/att
Points allowed: 15.3
Sacks: 36
