49ers vs. Chiefs preseason 2013: Third quarter score updates and open thread

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

The 49ers trail the Chiefs 13-6 after the first half of action in Week 2 of the preseason. We have a third quarter open thread.

We're halfway through Week 2 of the preseason, and the San Francisco 49ers trail the Kansas City Chiefs 13-6. Neither offense has done much of anything, with the only touchdown coming on a Chiefs kickoff return. The Chiefs rolled out their first string offense the entire first half, while the 49ers went to their second string defense fairly quickly. It makes me feel a bit better about the depth on defense. Of course, the depth on offense is not looking particularly exciting, but what are you gonna do?

Here's your third quarter game thread. You can find updated stats at NFL.com.
