The San Francisco 49ers don't play their third preseason game until Sunday evening, but in the meantime, we have a whole host of football today. The Bills and Washington already well into their game, but tonight features several games of note for 49ers fans.
The Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:30 p.m. PT. Aside from Alex Smith making his three preseason appearance, we get the potential Chiefs preseason debut of wide receiver A.J. Jenkins. When I was thinking about this game this morning, I completely forgot about that possibility. The Chiefs have become just a little bit more interesting to track thanks to that trade.
The NFC West continues its schedule, with the St. Louis Rams traveling to face the Denver Broncos at 5:00 p.m., and the Arizona Cardinals hosting the San Diego Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The Rams game will be nationally televised, so we'll see how much Peyton Manning vs. Carson Palmer we get to see tonight.
