Fooch's Update: LaMichael James suffered MCL sprain

The San Francisco 49ers are halfway through their preseason finale, and they have a couple injuries of note. LaMichael James left the game and had ice on his knee. Adam Snyder left the game and went back to the locker-room to get an x-ray on his hand. By the end of the first half, James was seen without the ice, and a team spokesperson told the media that it was not serious. There is no further word yet on Snyder's hand.

Although it might surprise some, losing Adam Snyder would be the bigger loss in the short term. Although James has great athleticism, and can do some big things in space, Snyder is the primary backup at tackle and potentially at guard. Daniel Kilgore is the primary backup at center, but Snyder will likely get some chances as an extra lineman.

The 49ers head into the second half leading 17-6.
