With the looming demolition of the green bay packers this coming weekend, I figured I'd list just a few reasons why I hate them:
- Their colors are fugly - There are few things more disgusting than moldy cheese, but such are the colors and mascot of the green bay faithful. Red & Gold are marks of class, royalty, and champions...but green and yellow? moldy cheese
- They heart Brett Farrrrve - Only a packers fan could wax poetic about the all-time career leader in fumbles, interceptions, and sacks. Also, Favre's skill as a choke artist are well-chronicled. Compared to 'Joe Cool' ...I'll take Montana's clutch performances and 4 Super Bowl rings over a gun-slinging creeper any day.
- Aaron Rodgers' Douchedom - Who bets a year's salary that Ryan Braun is clean and fails to pay up? Who bets they'll beat the 49ers or wear a 49ers jersey and then fails to dress up? Aaron Rodgers - that's who. And if his reluctance to own up to a bet doesn't convince you of his douchedom, check out Rodgers getting PO'd about some fan mocking his height.
- Packers Stock = Worthless - I'm sick of packers fans lying about how they 'own' their team because they bought stock in it. The Wall Street Journal exposed this farce awhile ago in a piece called Are The Green Bay Packers The Worst Stock In America? Basically, any stock you own in the Packers pays NO dividends, isn't tradeable, and has NO security protections making it financially worthless. All you are doing is donating money to a pro football team. You have ZERO ownership rights in the team even if it's dissolved/liquidated.
I'd list even more reasons, but I'd love to hear some from you.
