49ers vs. Packers: Public transportation options on a busy Sunday

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

We break down the public transportation options in San Francisco for Sunday's 49ers-Packers game.

It's a busy Sunday of sports in the Bay Area, so for those of you heading out to the 49ers-Packers game, public transportation might be your best option.

The San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics are both in town Sunday, with 1:05 p.m. starts. Even bigger than that is the fact that the America's Cup yacht race is going on in the Bay as well. I imagine there will be a lot of people on the streets, so public transportation might save you some time before and after the 49ers-Packers game.

San Francisco's MUNI will have a variety of options to get to the ballpark. If you need to take BART into the city, you can then connect from either the Embarcadero station, or down at the Balboa Park station. Here is a rundown of public transit options via SFMTA.com.
