I wanted to put this prediction in writing. I have made it in the comments on a couple of threads but I wanted to put it here where I would be able to find it again. And I want you to know I have been preaching this since before Kap took apart the Packers in week 1.
The history I am talking about is going to be his adjusted net yards per pass attempt, also known as Any/A.
ANY/A - adjusted net yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown) - sack yards)/(passing attempts + sacks).
There is a very high correlation between Any/A and winning. Check out this list of players that have the highest Any/A in history. There are 19 seasons on this list. It is a list of the who's who of NFL QB's. Including our own Joe Montana and Steve Young (3 times) and a few guys like Peyton, Brady, Breese, and Marino. This is the list of people who have had an Any/A over 8.
This is a list of the leader in Any/A by season.
Ok, so what is my prediction? My prediction is that Kap will become the third player in history to have an Any/A above 9.
Last season he had 7.55
In the Green Bay game he was at 11.32 (So he is off to a good start)
He might break the record for highest in a season but officially I am saying over 9.
