After looking at another great 49er season, I took a look at our strengths and weaknesses. The NFL scouts said we needed DL, CB and WR. We have Tank Carradine and Ian Williams recovering from injuries. As long as Tank is able to produce that should take care of the DL. Chris Culliver is also recovering from an ACL. Honestly, I only see one corner in this draft that can produce immediately (Dennard). The rest would have a hard time making a roster spot. That being said, I think our weaknesses are at TE, CB, C and WR. We still need a deep threat to stretch the field We still need a younger version of Carlos Rogers. Someone that can defend on the outside or in the slot. I'd rather get a FA. We still need a second TE to produce opposite of Vernon Davis. We got 0 production from our TEs this past year. Thats no bueno First Round. Kelvin Benjamin/WR/Florida State or Eric Ebron/TE/North Carolina Second Round. Calvin Pryor/S/Louisville Second Round. Travis Swanson/C/Arkansas Third Round. (traded to move up for Pryor) Third ROund. Victor Hampton/CB/South Carolina Calvin Pryor was a FS at Louisville in college but most of you know how I feel about the safety in the NFL. If you can't play both then you can't play safety. Especially in a 2 deep zone.
