As we all know. Colin Kaepernick has a much better playoff record than Alex Smith, 5-2 vs 1-2. Those are the facts. But can you honestly say it was the best move for this team? 3 turnovers in Seattle and only 3 touchdowns in 4 playoff games isn't exactly enough from your quarterback in today's nfl to get the job done.
Constant locking on to read one. Led the league in delay of games. Incredibly stupid interception,(don't fault him for the second one, with that much time left take your shot to your best guy, even with boldin open) delay of game on a crucial 3rd and 1.
Not going to quote any Alex smith stats here as he is no longer a member of this organization. But just wanted to pose the question, over these last two postseasons , given the way we've gone out. Can you honestly say when looking at all the facts that's we made the right move? Does Colin Kaepernick really give this roster a better chance to win a Super Bowl than the old QB did?
My personal answer: look no further than the Super Bowl last year and this season, 1st and goal at the 1 for all the marbles.. My gut tells me that #11 gets it done as usual in the clutch there. And this year (1st year vs 3rd year in the system) the saints game couldn't overcome the bad call when we had the chance and the other guy with far less weapons and talent on offense, puts up slightly better stats for the regular season and for the playoffs more td's in one game than our guy in 4 and that's with his very best offensive player out on the first drive.
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter... Go Niners, f*ck the Seahawks. Seriously crab mushed Sherman in his face he said nothing and then he does THAT for the camera. Where I'm from we call that some grade A p*ssy.
