They won the game and to the victor go the spoils. They will move on to the Superbowl and will receive all the accolades that go along with that. So clothe yourselves in laurels Seattle, but it may be too late as your true face was on display last night.
Yes Seattle won the game but they lost their civility, they forever put a stain on their franchise. When a player that has been defended by a fan base and team comes out and loses his cool and cuts a WWE style promo on a defeated opponent, you have lost more then you've won. When a fan base pelts and injured player with food as he is carted off the field your victories are hollow and will remain all you have. In victory Seattle was callow and base and instead of triumphing in their victory they wallowed in the defeat of an opponent. It wasn't enough to win a close game, a game that saw two opponents injured and taken out of the game, no you had Sherman run his mouth and release a tirade and look like a bitter child throwing a tantrum.
When a man is hurt on the field he stops being an opposing player and becomes just a man. A man that may of just lost his livelihood, a man whose life may be about to change. Did Seattle see that? No, all they saw was another opportunity to act like craven cowards and pelt a man with food as he was carted off. A man they wouldn't mouth off to if was just he and they in a room, but since there was a railing, security personnel, and he was injured suddenly they become tough guys.
I am sad about the loss, more then sad but I am used to it. I was a 9ers fan in the 90's and saw Green Bay wreck my hopes time and time again. Living in Wisconsin I was used to taking abuse from Packer fans. In all those loses I don't remember Packer players trying to humiliate any 9ers in an after game interview or act like the Seahawks did. So I can take a loss but what happened last night was stomach turning. It showed just how ugly a team, a fan base can be.
So again congratulations on the victory, its just sad you lost so much to win one game.
