Seattle 'Ospreys' Lead the League in PED Suspensions

It may be no coincidence that the Ospreys (no such animal as 'sea hawk') lead the league in so many categories. Dick S'her'man says, "It gets so messy when you let things like that out," about the NFL's policy to keep drug use facts close to the vest. "Messy", Dick?

While the Ospreys are apparently gobbling Adderall and other banned PEDs like candy, it should not come as a surprise that they perform at a "high" level. And Dick wants to keep a lid on it.

This is a sticky problem for the league as they attempt to promote Super Bowl XLVII and keep the glare of the spotlight off Dick S'her'man's rantings and drug consumption, in the shadows. This guy is making Marshawn and his affection for 9mm Berettas look like a boy scout. At least 7 Ospreys have been popped for PED use and that might just be the tip of an ugly iceberg. Petey Carole's 'relaxed' organization might just include looking the other way as performance levels exceed 'natural' levels.

I just hope there is a quality investigative reporter (or the FBI) digging into this issue. The entire fan base seems to be behaving manically as they coalesce and conspire to violate the NFL prohibition against excessive noise. Cheering for the home team is something quite different than incoherent screaming design to keep a team from legally running their offense. The rabid 'cheat ya to beat ya' mentality has become an accepted part of the organization and its fan base. The end here justifies the means and there is something unwholesome, even pathological about such amoral enthusiasm.

What happened to the 'level playing field' mentality, where the victories are pristine and above board, not tainted by chicanery or outright cheating. The role model mentality is dead. "By any means necessary" is the new mantra. When did taking drugs become an accepted practice in American professional sports?

Drug testing should be mandatory and frequent. Suspensions should hurt, what's $50K to a guy that makes that in a single quarter of a game? It has become a farce and an embarrassment, and the poster boy is Dick S'her'man.
