Golden Nuggets: The wait begins ...

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday, January 26th, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet,

For whatever reason, I've spaced on two iterations of the Golden Nuggets in as many weeks. Perhaps I've mentally checked out of this thing we call football, or perhaps I'm trying to keep myself sheltered from the pain of having to primarily cover the Seattle Seahawks for the SB Nation mothership throughout the week. Remembering Niners Nation would only bring me back to the reality that I have to write about them a lot.

Whatever the reason, I'm here this time and I'm pretty certain I've got some links for you. There's a lot of new faces doing the Golden Nuggets these days, but as your original Nuggets man, I have to tell you: winter is coming ... for the Nuggets. Our own version of winter, really. We'll reach a point where there are no new links, just a barren wasteland as the beat writers spend time "resting" with their "families" -- the lazy jerks.

That hasn't happened yet though, and we have a few links for you to peruse. Enjoy.
