The Associated Press announced their 2013 NFL All Pro Team, and the San Francisco 49ers have five players on the list. NaVorro Bowman was listed as a first team member at inside linebacker, alongside Luke Kuechly. The second team included Vernon Davis at tight end, Joe Staley at offensive tackle, Justin Smith at defensive tackle, and Ahmad Brooks at outside linebacker.
The second team inside linebackers were Vontaze Burfict and Karlos Dansby. I think Patrick Willis had a good case, but inside linebacker is a particularly stacked position in the NFL these days. It's disappointing he didn't make it, but it's not entirely shocking.
There were eight safeties in total named to the All Pro team, but Donte Whitner and Eric Reid were not among them. The first team safeties were Earl Thomas and Eric Berry. The second team safeties were Eric Weddle, Kam Chancellor, Jairus Byrd, T.J. Ward, Devin McCourty, and Antrel Rolle.
Anybody else you think was worth a nod at All Pro?
