Colin Kaepernick talks with Bill Simmons on the BS Report Podcast

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

Colin Kaepernick sat down with Bill Simmons of Grantland in a very candid, lengthy interview during Super Bowl media week.

As Super Bowl media week churns on, some of our very own 49ers players are in the New York area doing various promotions, interviews, etc. Among them is our young quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who sat down with Bill Simmons of Grantland for the BS Report Podcast.

The interview was great. Lengthy (in a good way), candid, and definitely had a ton more content than what you usually get from Kap during the season. He touched on that topic, in fact, as well as the Seahawks and their trash-talking, concussions, tattoos, his off-season gigs, and getting snubbed on Draft day.

Over the course of the season, we've seen Kap offer little insight during his weekly press conferences. He told Simmons that the reason for that is to avoid giving the media information they can manipulate into a story. During the offseason he is much more open to lengthier answers because there is less concern about an upcoming opponent.

One of my favorite things he said was that there are certain guys on the Seahawks that he wouldn't talk to off-the-field.

It's really worth your time to listen. Check out the podcast by clicking here, or listening below. Over at 49ers.com they also put together a lengthy run-down of the many topics he discussed.
