NFL playoff schedule 2014: Game times, TV schedule, announcers and more for Wild Card weekend

The 2014 NFL playoffs kick off Saturday afternoon with the Colts and Chiefs squaring off in the AFC, and the Eagles and Saints squaring off in the NFC. We break down the pertinent details for each game, along with the rest of Wild Card weekend, and provide a thread for discussion.

SB Nation 2014 NFL Playoff Coverage

The 2014 NFL playoffs officially get underway today as the Indianapolis Colts host the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles host the New Orleans Saints. I've posted the pertinent game info below. If for some reason you are in the United States but don't have a TV, or are just away from it, you can stream both of tonight's games through For Sunday, the Bengals-Chargers game will stream at, and the 49ers-Packers game will stream on FOXSportsGo.

The Colts-Chiefs game is an intriguing one, as the spread on the game has switched rather dramatically. The Colts opened as 2 1/2 points favorites, but the line has now swung to the point that the Chiefs are a 2 to 2 1/2 point favorite. The line was working its way down this week, but over the last 24 hours it has swung the most. I asked around, and two suggestions were the return of Justin Houston, and the notion that Andy Reid was playing games the last couple weeks. Maybe oddsmakers simply underestimated the support for KC?

The winner of this game will have to wait until Chargers-Bengals wraps before knowing their playoff opponent. If the Bengals win, the Colts-Chiefs winner goes to Denver. If the Chargers win, the Colts-Chiefs winner goes to New England. I've got the Colts winning, and then heading to New England after the Chargers upset the Bengals.

The Eagles and Saints kickoff later today at 5:10 p.m. The Saints had a strong year, but they're heading into sub-freezing temperatures in Philadelphia. It's a running narrative, but the Saints are built for the Superdome. Heading outdoors is going to be brutal for them. Maybe they can swing the upset, but I just don't see it.

If the Eagles win, the 49ers-Packers winner travels to face the Seattle Seahawks. If the Saints win, the 49ers-Packers winner travels to face the Carolina Panthers. My money is on the Eagles winning, and of all the non-49ers games, I might be most comfortable with that pick.

This will operate as the open thread for Colts-Chiefs. We'll have a new thread for Eagles-Saints later this afternoon.
