I know that the coaching staff under our dear leader (Jim Harbaugh, wins be upon him) has a long standing love affair with veterans. I also really acknowledge that they know much more than I do.
However, what I don't understand is why they turn to Perrish Cox over Darryl Morris. Given the choice to release either of them they released Cox, so why on earth would they play him over a guy they retained instead of him? To put it another way, every team could have helped themselves to Cox, Seattle nearly did, and we didn't think he was worth protecting.
It only makes any sense if you assume that Morris wasn't up to speed after an entire season, which I doubt. I think it's more down to the coaching staff's love of veterans. My problem here odd that the veteran really hasn't that much experience either and he looked awful at times today. If Wright or Rogers aren't back next week I hope we give the kid a go.
