Golden Nuggets: Not a whole lot of news, which is probably a good thing for 49ers

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Friday, February 14th, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning, folks. Sorry for the late Nuggets today -- I spent most of the day assembling my new gaming PC and I've just got around to benchmarking it and the like. A bunch of nerdy stuff later and hey, I'm late on the Nuggets. Fortunately, there's not a whole lot going on right now.

Well, that's not fortunate ... news is great and all, but I suppose at this point a lack of news is probably a good thing since there's no negative news. I think I got my fill of that last season, thank you very much. There's nothing quite like an offseason arrest or someone demanding a trade to completely deflate the enthusiasm for the upcoming season.

Anyway, we're going to jump right into your late links for the day.
