It continues to be a quiet off-season for the 49ers, but I expect that the first significant news to break in the near future will be the re-signing of Anquan Boldin. He was such an integral part of the offense last year, especially when it came to moving the chains. It will definitely be crucial to Colin Kaepernick and the passing offense's continued improvement to have Boldin, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis and Quinton Patton together for a full season.
The big question however is "What is Anquan Boldin's number?". How many years and how much per year will he cost the team? Personally, I wager that he will either get a 2 year extension worth $12M or a more cap friendly 3 years - $15M deal. Either way, he will be worth it and will continue to be productive in spite of his advanced age of 33, since he does not rely on his speed to get open, but on his hands and expert route-running. Other than Anquan Boldin and perhaps kicking the tires on Phil Dawson, we will probably not see any great free agency splashes by San Francisco.

Martin vs. Incognito
It looks like there is a line being drawn here with players on one side and non-players on the other. Interestingly enough, it is Incognito who has support from the players' side. | Vernon Davis: Richie Incognito is a great guy (PFT)
