The San Francisco 49ers don't begin their official offseason workout program until April 21 (at the earliest). In the meantime, players are getting in what is the most extensive free time they have until July.
Vernon Davis has been the most notably active, heading to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Vernon is the honorary captain of the US men's and women's curling teams. He got into curling four or five years ago, and first became an honorary captain for the 2010 Vancouver games.
The curling is just about wrapped up, so Vernon has been taking in a little bit more of the Games before returning to the US. He has this Instagram video from his time watching some figure skating. People throw bouquets of flowers on the ice after skaters finish. Vernon decided to try. Good effort, not good execution!
Another player on the move is right tackle Anthony Davis. He has been doing some traveling, including trips to Paris, Amsterdam and South Africa. Check out his Instagram page to see some cool pictures. My favorite has to be this one of him with a big ol' snake. I love random stuff like this in the offseason!
