Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton sort of sing "Roar" by Katy Perry, shoot silly string at the Seahawks

Ronald Martinez

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Panthers QB Cam Newton had a cheesy good time hosting the Hall of Game Awards on Cartoon Network. We've got some video of a night that included silly string, them singing Katy Perry, and a competition throughout childhood!

The headline just about sums up what can only be described as a cheesy, fun night for Colin Kaepernick and Cam Newton. They hosted the Hall of Game Awards for Cartoon Network, and as one would expect for a show on Cartoon Network, it was filled with all sorts of silliness.

I came across some video of the event that highlights three parts of the show. It opens with their pre-show segment. Kap and Cam are sitting outside the show throwing footballs and talking about who's the best host. Both are talking about how they've been kicking the other's butt since the day they were born. And that's where it starts to get weird. Imagine Kap and Cam's heads on babies, infants and so forth.

The second segment is their opening "monologue". They again are competing, and this ends with them each singing Roar by Katy Perry. Words cannot describe this. It's brutal but fun.

The final segment comes at the end. The Seahawks won some awards, and to close the show, Kap and Cam invite them to the stage. The Seahawks players thank their fans, and then Kap and Cam proceed to have some fun with them. Given some of the animosity between the 49ers and Seahawks, it was cool to see them having a good time with this.

The whole thing is incredibly cheesy, but if you think of it from the mindset of Cartoon Network, it's a lot of fun. Give it a watch.
