Golden Nuggets: NaVorro Bowman snubbed, and the Super Bowl or something

Jonathan Ferrey

Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning, ladies and gents. We've reached the day of the Super Bowl, and contrary to what I've said in the past, I do plan to watch the game. That's because I'll be working the news desk, unfortunately. I don't care about the Seattle Seahawks and I don't care about the Denver Broncos. I don't care about Richard Sherman or Peyton Manning. That said, I might just root for the NFC West, because I'm weird like that.

More importantly, Eddie DeBartolo and Charles Haley did not make it into the Hall of Fame, once again. It's just further confirmation that the whole thing is a farce, really. DeBartolo is being kept out for stupid reasons and he probably won't get some kind of recognition by the NFL until he's not around to see it. Because that's just how they are.

Also, no votes for NaVorro Bowman for defensive player of the year? That's a damn travesty. He was better than Luke Kuechly this year. I don't care what anyone says. Onto the links.
