Let me start by telling everyone I have been a die hard 49er fan for more than 35 years, this free agency has been one of the worst free agent periods to date. I can not see any reason or explanation for some of these players that we have added? Lets start with the QB Blaine Gabbert? The 2nd QB drafted in the 2011 NFL draft and an absolute BUST! How about Jonathan Martin? A cry baby who complained of being "bullied" by a complete Douche Bag. No I can not put my head around the "Bullied" maybe he was but the texting that continued between both accused players makes me wonder about his maturity level, and his work ethic has been a concern going back to Stanford. Chris Cook this guy played 4 seasons, played in 34 games and started only 29 games. Antoine Bethea drafted back in 2006, now this is not bad, I started to think that we did good with this one. We missed on so many others that could have been the difference between 10 wins and 12-14 wins? Why did we go and pick up Gabbert? How does this guy help us in any way? He could not play in Jacksonville because he could not hit the water when falling out o a boat! Bethae will help but will not replace Whitner. What I can not understand is trading anything for Martin or Gabbert when we could have landed Dominique Rodgers Cromartie for a couple of picks? All in all we need to be building to not only win the NFC West, Beat Seattle, and win Super Bowl 49 (Our Super Bowl) I hope the 2014 NFL Draft is better for us, because right now the only positive thing I see coming out of this free agency is Bethea and Cook. We have draft picks that we could use to move up and draft a solid CB then in the 2nd round we could use a WR because with Kaepernick always throwing to Crabtree (This has cost us more than once) a really good slot receiver will help. Just (Cowboy) Smith is getting long in the tooth, will slow down at some point. All in all I would give our Free Agency a D- Lets hope the draft is not a bust??????
