It was an absolutely great and exciting NFL Draft weekend. Once again a lot of the draft grades are coming out on the heels of 3 days of selections. Though we know that this kind of grading is difficult since there is no way to tell if a pick has truly panned out until years later, people still expect and want to read about it. There are a lot of grades and the general consensus seems to be that Trent Baalke was an absolute Ninja again for the San Francisco 49ers.
He was able to consistently grab talented prospects at a much much lower round than they should have been. That is essentially the best you can do in a draft: Get maximum value for minimum cost. I'm beginning to suspect that the Draft Ninja has had good training in buying wholesale vs. retail. We also have a few articles about 49ers draftees, UDFA signings, and a developing story that the 49ers might nix Joe Montana's planned hotel across from Levi's Stadium in order to make room for more parking.
