Having read several articles on this young man in regards to his past mistakes, lack of maturity/focus/disipline etc, I suggest we all step back into our own pasts when we were in our early 20s. Was all of our behaviors by the book? Did we meet everyone's expectations in terms of our maturity levels at that time? Didn't YOU make a mistake or error in judgement? Can't we all say we have done a stupid thing or two in our lives? What matters now is each of these young men, Lynch included, have an unpresented opportunity to create a legacy of performance semblance to 49ers and NFL players of the past. Its their lives, careers and families on the line. Damn the scouting reports, Performance Day1 starts at rookie minicamp and I for one expect greatness to emerge from Lynch, perhaps NFL history to be made much like Fred Dean who MADE my Sunday exciting just as much as Jerry Rice or Joe Montana or Steve Young etc... so many greats... give him credit for wanting to make the team and succeeding in doing it. PLEASE get off his back and allow him to succeed as we have great coaches in this organization and I think they understand how to motivate all players.
The 49ers are very well coached on defense... and we have a players head coach that is remarkable. Lunch will surprise you all and if I was him, I would strive to play above and beyond that of a fifth round pick. I would play as if I was pick #1 of round one and make the scouts eat their reports.
He is a 49er now and welcome!
