Could you imagine a player on the Niners sideline wearing a jersey with the name Rice on it? Well it could be possible with the news that Jerry Rice Jr. will be trying out with the team after his tryout with the Ravens over the weekend. While he is a definite long shot to make the Niners roster, it is a good story. The son of one of the greatest players to ever wear the red and gold following in his father's footsteps.
Seeing Rice Jr. running into Levi's Stadium would be a very memorable moment for Jerry Rice. His son playing for the same team that he became a legend at would be epic to say the least. I wonder if Jerry takes his son running up the infamous hill he used to run or if he tells his son to always score a touchdown after a catch, even in practice like he was famous for doing. But to have any chance of making this team, he better have the work ethic equal to or greater than his father had. No one ever worked harder that Jerry and that's what made him the best receiver in NFL history. Good luck Jerry Rice Jr!
