Good morning ladies and gents. I was hoping to come around and find that we've all stopped talking about Vernon Davis, but it looks like that's not happening. That's fine and all -- it's a big issue -- I just think that nothing that needs to be said hasn't already been said. So to offer up a brief reprieve from that, I'll talk about something else.
For the SB Nation mothership, I recently was asked to pick one player on the San Francisco 49ers who is an underachiever and write a post on him. The post isn't live yet, but I went with running back Kendall Hunter. While I'm not certain Hunter fits the exact definition of an underachiever, I do think it's worth noting that this is the year he absolutely needs to get it together. Maybe he's not the feature back of the future, but he needs to show the 49ers he's at least quality backup material, and possibly audition for the rest of the league.
Just a thought I had. Onto your links for the day, folks.
